See the beauty of the Adirondacks aboard vintage railroad coaches across sparkling Adirondack lakes and the unique Adirondack mountains. Featuring a 20-mile round trip trek from Lake Placid Station to Saranac Lake Union Depot, you can depart from either station for a round-trip rail experience like no other.

Be sure to take time to walk through the village of Saranac Lake, take the Historic Walking Tour o­n Saturdays for Lake Placid before heading back. You can spend the day or just a few hours. 45 minutes each way with a 1/2 hour layover.

Your choices are many during the various times of the year: Murder Mystery Trains, Eco-Tours, Wine Tasting, a Halloween Train and even the Adirondack Christmas Train to Old Forge.
