The Cable family has been in the area since 1810.  Austin Lake park and Campground was built in 1944 by Austin, Glenn and Jeanne Cable, Austin Lake Park has been privately owned and operated by the Cable family ever since - now four generations!
 
Reservations for camping can be made for a day, week or an entire summer. Enjoy the ambiance and peacefulness of the Appalachian foothills. Austin Lake Park and Campground offers a venue of activities for all ages.
 
Nestled in the scenic hills of the Ohio Valley, the fresh creek, Town Fork and spring-fed lake are surrounded by beautiful woodlands. Austin Lake Park and campground's location is convenient, amenities are endless and fun is never ending – Oh, by the way. Cellular phones do not work here!
 
A water sport that has gained national attention has come to Austin Lake ~ WAKEBOARDING!!! Austin Lake Park and Campground would love to welcome both spectators and amateur participants to come join them. Lessons - Available / wide body skies for baby boomers. We offer a new Ski-Nautique each year at the beginning of our season - be sure to come and play with us!

We also offer just that special amenity for FIDO - a swimming area for dogs o­nly! So bring the entire family when you come to Austin Lake Park!
