Oshkosh, Wisconsin Every year a magnificent gathering of flight enthusiasts and aircraft gather in Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Air Venture Fly-in, and it's an awesome spectacle to say the least. Air Venture 2004 promises to be an extra special presentation that will feature fabulous daily air shows, seminars by famous aviators, interactive exhibits, aerial entertainment and mind-boggling displays of aircraft from all over the world. You can attend five wondrous days of activities to savor this timeless array of magnificent aircraft, spanning decades of flight. More than 10,000 airplanes from around the world converge on Oshkosh. These airplanes cover the range from 240 lb. micro-lights to hundreds of thousand pounds heavy lift transports, homebuilt planes to commercially manufactured aircraft, from barnstorming era aircraft to modern built acrobatic craft, from peacetime civilian owned to wartime military aircraft. And you have unlimited access to all these planes. You can walk for hours through vintage fighters of two world wars, airliners of the prop and jet age, private and experimental craft; the list goes on! EAA plans daily A.M. & P.M. flying shows for your enjoyment, which usually include civilian and modern military aircraft. Then, around mid-afternoon the big show begins. Wing walkers on high-powered bi-planes, sleek aerobatic wonders twisting and turning every which way possible, WWII craft chasing each other in mock dog fights, parachute demos, team aerobatics of two, three and four aircraft. And this spectacle changes every day! Other activities include a bevy of speaker forums, war stories, aircraft related seminars and much more. Oshkosh, Wisconsin
