With winter coming on and skiers wanting to get to higher altitudes, there are ways to give your body time to adjust and prevent altitude sickness.

High Altitude Skiing
  • Stay below 7,000 feet the first day of your visit to allow you body to adjust.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise on day one.
  • Drink lots of liquids and avoid alcohol and tobacco.
  • Work your way to higher elevations at a rate of 1,000 feet per day.

There is a lot to see at all elevations so take it easy, stay well and enjoy it all.
