The Children's Museum of Boston focuses on early childhood development and has three themes: arts, culture and science.
A rotating series of sensational physical science exhibits turn kids on to science. Think science isn't your thing? Think again -- in Zoom Zone, you can try all sorts of science experiments! Also, visit our turtles and climb underneath the tank to see them from a different perspective!
Kids can play with boats, barges, crafts and vessels of all shapes and sizes, and discover urban water environments. An amazing 28-foot-long, 800 gallon water tank is a replica of the Fort Point Channel scene outside the Museum's window, complete with replicas of the four bridges!
Kids can float handmade boats and other floating and sinking objects along the currents. They can also put on life jackets, bib pants, sou'westers and foul weather gear, and climb aboard the "Minnow," a real-life size boat.

Experience the thrill of indoor rock-climbing in Climbing the Walls. More than just hands-on, it's a new BODY-on exhibit! Learn to tie rock-climbing knots, try on actual rock-climbing gear, and rest on the Port-A-Ledge like a real rock climber would! Then, don a helmet and challenge yourself to climb two 20-foot-long walls that look and feel like a real Rock Gym. Kids ages 3-5 have their own wall with a slide to get them down! Adults can join in the fun and climb, too.
