 The Dallas Metro KOA is convenient to a world of fun. Located in the heart of Arlington in the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, this campground is a wooded camping oasis. The area has a multitude of attractions, including Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, Fort Worth stock shows and the 1.4 million square foot Parks Mall just down the street. There are more than 200 restaurants within two miles of the campground. KOA's friendly staff will make sure you have a great stay.
In addition to all these attractions, guests may also enjoy just relaxing around our beautiful swimming pool, or sitting in the shade visiting with friends and family. Our well-stocked store provides everything you need to make this a memorable camping experience.

One-of-a-Kind Museums!
- PALACE OF WAX & RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT– These two attractions under one roof are sure to amaze you. The Wax Museum has celebrities past and present, presidents, scenes of horror and more. Ripley’s is filled with fascinating and bizarre oddities from around the world. Open Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday- Sunday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm. Admission is charged. Located in Grand Prairie, 10 miles east of Arlington on I-30 East.
- MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN RAILROAD – This is a must-see for train lovers! See an amazing collection of passenger cars, including a complete pre-World War II passenger train. There are also diesel and electric locomotives, cabooses and historic railroad equipment. This museum is mostly outdoors and you can climb aboard the train cars. Open Wednesday - Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm. Admission is charged. Located in Dallas.
- SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM AT DEALEY PLAZA – This museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F. Kennedy. Through film footage, photos and other artifacts, learn about the impact his death had on the nation and the world. Open every day from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm, except Christmas Day. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. Located in downtown Dallas.
- COWGIRL MUSEUM & HALL OF FAME – Stop by the only museum in the world dedicated to honoring the women of the American West. Learn about the women who helped shape our nation: pioneers, artists, writers, leaders and cowgirls! There are interactive exhibits, artifacts, photos and an audio tour. Open Monday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; Friday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 8:00 pm; Sunday, 11:30 am - 5:30 pm. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. Located in Fort Worth.

- FORT WORTH ZOO – See animals in a new way at this zoo. Visit the World of Primates, a tropical rainforest that is home to gorillas, chimpanzees and orangutans. Asian Falls, with its pools and waterfalls, is home to elephants, rhinos and tigers. There is also the Australian Outback, African Savannah and much more. Open Monday - Friday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Saturday - Sunday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm from April 1 - October 22. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. Located in Fort Worth.
- DALLAS ZOO – Visit the largest zoological experience in Texas! There are thousands of animals on 95 acres. See the Chimpanzee Forest, Crocodile Isle, the Aviary and the Gorilla Research Center. - SOUTHFORK RANCH – Visit Southfork Ranch, the location for the legendary television show, “Dallas.” Tour the Ewing’s mansion, watch video clips and interviews with cast members and see memorabilia, including the gun that shot J.R. - NRH20 WATER PARK – Cool off at this water park and splash the day away! - RANGER’S BALLPARK IN ARLINGTON – Visit the home of the Texas Rangers, a state-of-the-art open-air ballpark. The stadium tour takes you to the dugout, press box, Owner’s Suite and more. The museum has exhibits and artifacts about the “Legends of the Game.” Open Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm from October - March; gamedays, 9:00 am - 7:30 pm and non-game days, Monday - Saturday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sunday, 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. Located in Arlington.
- TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY – Get your heart racing with a trip to “The Great American Speedway.” This 1.5 mile oval track is home to NASCAR races and special events. - FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS – This National Historic District has over 25 unique shops, galleries, restaurants and even a winery. Enjoy a walking tour of the historic stockyards. Visit the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, go dancing at a saloon and watch the daily cattle drives of Texas Longhorns right down the middle of the street!
- BILLY BOB’S TEXAS – Don’t miss a trip the world’s largest honky tonk! Built in 1910 as an open-air cattle barn, it now provides 6,000 people with a good time. There are concerts, dancing, restaurants, a casino and real bull riding on weekends. Open Monday - Saturday, 11:00 am - 2:00 am; Sunday, 12:00 pm - 2:00 am. Admission is charged. - DALLAS FARMER’S MARKET – Enjoy a taste of Texas at its freshest at this farmer’s market! Fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, crafts and more abound. The International Market has artists and merchants with goods from throughout the U.S. and Mexico. Special events and cooking classes are held as well. Open seven days a week, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm.
