The Square Dance Center & Campground sits on 27 pine-covered acres along the Lewis & Clark Trail, and Lolo Creek. Located in beautiful western Montana, at 3300 feet, within the breathtaking Bitterfoot Mountains, the campground is 2 hours from the National Bison Range, 4 hours from Glacier National Park, and 6 hours from Yellowstone National Park. Nearby National Forests provide hiking, biking, fishing, bird watching, and photography for day trips. Numerous streams, including Lolo Creek, provide excellent trout fishing. The Bitterfoot, Clark Fork, and Blackfoot Rivers are also excellent for float trips. Traveler's Rest State Park and Fort Fizzle are within minutes of camp and offer historical and natural history programs. Lolo Hot Springs is 20 miles up the road.

The Dance Center is known for its excellent square and round dance program and floating maple dance floor. it is adjoined by a well-appointed western dance wear apparel shop. Visitors who don't dance are always welcome to come watch the dance activities.

The campground has horseshoe pits, an 18 hole whiffleball golf course winding through the pines (a challenge for experienced golfers and great recreation for the novice), and a 1 mile scenic perimeter trail.

The town of Missoula, 11 miles from the campground, is home to the University of Montana and offers many excellent restaurants, shopping areas, theaters, and public golf courses. The Farmer's Market is among the best in the country. "Out to Lunch" in Caras Park, and evening concerts at Bonner Park are excellent entertainment.
