- NORTH CASCADES NATIONAL PARK – Get away from it all in the largest and most rugged alpine wilderness in the lower 48! Visit Mount Fury, Desolation Peak and Mount Terror. See glaciers, red cedar forests, rivers and lakes. Enjoy hiking, picnicking, fishing, rafting and climbing. The park is always open, but access is limited in the winter by snow. No entrance fee. Located off SR 20.
- ROSS LAKE NATIONAL RECREATION AREA – This 118,000 acre recreation area includes three reservoir lakes created by damming the Skagit River. Ross Lake is by far the largest at 25 miles long ; the others are Diablo Lake and Gorge Lake. Enjoy fishing, boating, hiking and rock climbing. The main season is May through September. No entrance fee. Located off SR 20.
- ROCKPORT STATE PARK – Return to the wild at this 670 acre park in an ancient forest that has never been logged! It lies at the foot of Sauk Mountain which has an elevation of 5,400 feet and a steep but climbable trail to the top. Enjoy fishing, kayaking and hiking. Open 6:30 am - dusk from March 30 - October 30. There is an entrance fee. Located eight miles east of Concrete.

- CASCADE LOOP – Passing right by Concrete is Washington’s scenic loop highway. It is a 400-mile self-guided driving tour through the heart of the Evergreen State. Enjoy beautiful scenery, stop for a picnic at Ross Lake and drive through charming small towns.
- SKAGIT WILD & SCENIC RIVER SYSTEM – Experience one of Washington’s most beautiful river systems, comprised of the Skagit, Sauk, Suiattle and Cascade rivers. They flow through wilderness, forestlands and towns! Enjoy rafting, hiking, fishing and the spectacular scenery. You might even see deer, eagles, bears and beavers!
- SOCKEYE EXPRESS HISTORY TOURS – Take a ride on the trolley and see the sights as you learn about the history of the area. The trip includes a stop at the Concrete Heritage Museum! Tours run from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm on Saturdays during the summer. Admission is charged. Located in Concrete at the Senior Center.
