Sisters/Bend KOA, conveniently located on Hwy. 20W between Sisters and Bend, at the foot of the Three Sisters Mountains, is the perfect place to stay while you explore the many wonders of Central Oregon. Whether you need a large pull-thru site, or a spot to pitch your tent, Sisters/Bend KOA has a place for you. 50 amp service and free WiFi are available at all sites and all sites are big-rig friendly. Take a dip in our pool or relax in the hot tub after a day of sightseeing. You can play mini-golf right here at the park or go fishing in our own private lake.


You could spend days visiting the variety of shops or the numerous galleries in quaint Downtown Sisters, from leather goods to antler furniture, quilts to fine art; there is something for everyone. Take a day trip to visit The Dee Wright Observatory atop the windswept McKenzie Pass or take a fishing trip to any of our wonderful high desert lakes and rivers. Hiking, rock climbing, fishing, snow sports and much, much more are all here for you to enjoy.

Sisters/Bend KOA store is available to our guests with groceries, RV supplies, and collectibles for everyone. Propane is also sold through the store. Our lounge offers a comfortable place to surf the web or read a book. Call now for reservations!

Things to See and Do Around

Bend, Oregon!

Located at the foot of Three Sisters Mountains, this KOA is a great starting point for your Northwest adventures! Enjoy scenic drives, outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, trail riding and more. You can’t beat the natural beauty and the friendliness of the people!

    Wander into a Cave, Learn about the High Desert, Go Downtown, or Look at the Stars!
  • PINE MOUNTAIN OBSERVATORY – See the stars like never before! The observatory is operated by the University of Oregon, but is open to the public on Friday and Saturday evenings from late May through late September. There are three telescopes, each in their own domed building. At sunset, a tour guide gives a presentation on basic astronomy and how the telescopes work and then you look through the telescopes at the stars above. The skies need to be clear and it can get cold, so dress warmly. Admission by donation. Unfortunately, it is not wheelchair accessible. Located 26 miles southeast of Bend.
  • DRAKE PARK AND MIRROR POND – Do what the locals do and spend some quality time at Drake Park and Mirror Pond in downtown Bend! It is a popular community gathering place and events are held here regularly. Enjoy a picnic, toss a Frisbee or just relax as you watch the ducks and swans swim around the pond.
  • LAVA RIVER CAVE – Walk right into a lava river cave! At over a mile, it is one of Oregon’s longest “tubes”. Some places are as wide as 50 feet and as high as 60 feet. Dress warmly since it never gets above 45 degrees inside and rent a lantern to light your way. Open daily 9:00 am - 4:45 pm from mid-May to Labor Day. There is an entrance fee. Located in Newberry National Volcanic Monument, 13 miles south of Bend.
  • HIGH DESERT MUSEUM – Learn about the wildlife, culture, art and natural resources of the High Desert. With 53,000 square feet of indoor exhibits and a world of outdoor exhibits, there is plenty for everyone to see and do. Explore a tipi, a mine shaft and a working homestead. Follow the trails to the wildlife displays where you will see birds of prey, mustangs, otters and more. Open daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, except Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Admission is charged. Wheelchair accessible. Located ten minutes from Old Mill in Bend on South Hwy 97.

    Hike, Ride, Ski, Snowboard, Bike, or Just Plain Sightsee!
  • TUMALO FALLS – As you explore the wonders of the Deschutes National Forest, take the time to see Tumalo Falls. A short hike will take you to an overlook where you will see the Tumalo Creek as it pours 97 feet to the ground below. The thundering falls, sheer rock walls and majestic trees are spectacular. Open year round; day use area. There is an entrance fee. Located 12 miles west of Bend.
  • METOLIUS RECREATION AREA – The Metolius River begins as a spring bubbling out of a hillside before it grows into one of Oregon’s finest rivers. The river, old-growth forests, meadows, trails and mountains provide so much to see and do. Enjoy fly-fishing, hiking, rafting, camping and bird watching. Open year round. Located 40 miles east of Bend.
  • HIKING – Learn what the locals already know, that Sisters country is a fantastic place for hiking! The four-mile hike to Black Butte Lookout Towers will grant you amazing views of the entire area. The Metolius River Trail is an easy hike along the water. A short loop trail will take you to Proxy Falls where you will see a pair of 100 foot waterfalls. A favorite hike for families is around Little Three Creek Lake; an easy three mile loop.
  • MT. BACHELOR – Come play on a volcano! Mt. Bachelor is 9,064 feet high and encompasses 3,700 acres of varied terrain in the high desert of the central Cascades. No matter the season, there is always plenty to see and do. Hiking, mountain biking and sightseeing in the summer; skiing, snowboarding and sled dog rides in the winter. And the scenery is always spectacular! Open year round. There are fees for some activities. Located only minutes from Bend and Sisters.
  • MCKENZIE PASS SCENIC BYWAY – This 82 mile loop through the Willamette National Forest will take you through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the area. You will see snowcapped volcanoes, glaciers and lava fields. Enjoy Clear Lake, Proxy Falls and Dee Wright Observatory. Stop for a picnic or a hike along the way! The drive begins and ends in Sisters.
  • SMITH ROCK STATE PARK – Welcome to rock climbing paradise! This park is 651 acres of high desert plateau at 3,000 feet. There are thousands of climbs, from easy to some of the best sport climbs in the world with over 1,000 bolted routes. You can also go hiking, mountain biking and camping. Enjoy the amazing views, fresh air and wildlife, including golden eagles, deer and otters. Open year round; day-use park closes at 10:00 pm. Entrance fee. Located near both Sisters and Bend.

  • SISTERS RODEO – See the “Biggest Little Show in the World,” the 67th annual Sisters Rodeo held June 8-10, 2007! Four rodeo shows and a weekend of special events, including a parade and cowboy breakfast are planned for your enjoyment. The rodeo excitement includes barrel racing, bull riding, trick riding, roping and much more. Admission is charged.
  • SISTERS OUTDOOR QUILT SHOW – See the largest outdoor quilt show in the world! There will be over 1,200 quilts from around the world covering every wall, hanging from every clothesline and draped over everything that doesn’t move. There are contests and an activity area where you can give quilting a try. On Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm. Free Admission.
